Local jury: CERN will select ten winning pictures by local jury and public vote. In addition, we will select three finalist images from the submitted photos. The jury consists of members from the physics and cultural fields at CERN.

International jury: the locally selected photos will participate in the international competition in autumn 2025. Both public and jury awards will be granted. 

Selection criteria: Photos will be primarily evaluated based on their visual, aesthetic, and emotional quality. Originality and scientific relevance will also be considered.

Awards and communication: The results of the local competition will be announced in summer 2025 on the dedicated competition website and CERN’s digital channels. The ten winning pictures will be exhibited at CERN.

International winners will be announced through the Interactions collaboration’s media and scientific publications.
